Cleaning gutters can be difficult, time-consuming, and dangerous. It often requires climbing a ladder, working above the ground, and repeatedly repositioning equipment around the home. For older veterans and those living with mobility challenges or service-related disabilities, the task may present an even greater risk.

Who Is Eligible for Helmet for Heroes?

Retired veterans of the United States Armed Forces may be entered to win a donated gutter protection system through Helmet for Heroes and a participating Gutter Helmet dealer in their area. Eligible service branches include:

• United States Army
• United States Marine Corps
• United States Navy
• United States Air Force
• United States Space Force
• United States Coast Guard

Veterans may enter themselves, and family members, friends, neighbors, and community members may also nominate a deserving veteran.

How to Enter or Nominate a Veteran

Entering the Helmet for Heroes program is simple. Visit the Helmet for Heroes campaign page to find a participating Gutter Helmet dealer and follow the local entry instructions.

All entries and nominations must be submitted by October 4. Because the program is offered through participating local dealers, availability, eligibility verification, and selection details may vary by location.
